We are registered for 2 bunks and shuttle service at the Hiker Hostel. I sent you copies of the emails. I might have to put up a ticker so we know how many days we have until the hike. (225 days)
It is pretty exciting.
We don't have to give them any money yet. I far as I can tell, it is $17 for the bunk, shower, and breakfast. $46 for the first person and 10% for the second for the shuttle(?$4.60) to the trail head. And if we average 10 miles a day, the cost of the shuttle back to the hostel will be $76 plus 10%. And the showers will be $3 each. So the total costs would be about $176 if I figured right. (I don't know if tax is involved and if I figured the shuttles right.) That would be $88 each.
Not bad for lodging, breakfast and transportation.
Wow this is getting to be more exciting everyday. The price sounds good. Are you going to sign up for anymore trips. I would hate to miss out on some of them. What do you think.
ReplyDeleteI might be able to go on the Intro to Canoe trip depending on Jared's school.
ReplyDeleteClifty Falls is on Father's Day weekend and we plan on going back down to HW. I will be in Florida for the Horseback riding.
The Isle Royale sounds good but I bet they are full.
I would like to sign up for the Feast of the Hunters Moon. The only thing is it is the week before the trip.
Went to work the Boat and Travel show. It was very slow. I only had a couple of people that came up. I guess the rain and a Monday kept people away. It was really neat and I met a couple people with the groups around me that were neat. I wish they had more product to sell at some of the venders. They said this is going to be a growing process and they are looking to have a lot more venders related to the quiet sports in the future. I hope you ger a chance to go.
ReplyDeleteChris and I went Saturday. We met Nicole and her husband. Nicole is the girl at the Cooking Class. (The one who acted like she didn't want to be there). Nicole's husband is a member too, and they met on a CIWC event.
ReplyDeleteWe spent about 3 hours there. Picked up a lot of brochures. No new adventures to get involved with.
I would like to do some fishing this year. Jared is interested too. He can fish for free until his 18th birthday and it will cost me $17.
