I emailed the leader of the trip to Red River Gorge. He told me that 15 people signed up and only 9 were going. And that I am on the alternate list. He also told me that he would contact me if there was a cancellation, so maybe I am next in line. I don't know.
He did mention that there might be a trip to Red River Gorge in the fall.
Yes he sent me an email asking if you were my brother and I told him yes and how much you wanted to go. Hope eveything works out. I went to Walmart today and they have new waterproof bags. You might check it out.
ReplyDeleteHey, I saw those bags. Wonder how good they are. Did you buy any? It would be nice to put my sleeping bag in.
ReplyDeleteYes I bought the smallest one and it is still pretty big. It will work well for my sleeping bag. It is thicker than the smaller ones we got in the 3 pack. Looks like cold weather this weekend. Just in time for our trip. ordered a rain jacket and I hope it gets here by friday. Looks like we are going to get our taste of different kinds of weather.
ReplyDeleteIt will be cold. I'm hoping I take enough stuff to stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI haven't got a pack cover yet. I hope it doesn't rain. I might be alright since everything in my pack is in a bag.
This will be a learning experience.
I know my pack is full and I dont have any cold weather gear or food. This is going to be fun. I guess I can put some things in the car but that woulnt be reality for our trip. Did they say anything about the water being off.
ReplyDeleteI found out that there is one frost free pump by the Forest Office. I have looked around there before and couldn't find it.
ReplyDeleteWe might have to jump in your car if it's too cold (HA). I think we will be alright.
One more day!
