It looks like you can just meet them down there. I don't know if I will drive down or meet them at the Kroger. I will probably meet them at Kroger. That way Chris and have a additional car for the weekend. I wonder if they will hike the same trail we do. I probably wont be able to get a nap that morning. So that will be along day. I wonder where the shelter house is? It must be over by the store.
I checked what the average temperature will be on that day. Average high is 56. Average low is 36. Record high is 80 and record low is 8. I hope we have good weather, but we will also need to train with the bad stuff too.
19 days to go for our first CIWC trip. I hope I will be ready.
I plan on taking my backpack (with everything in it) and a chair since it will be car camping.
I like the ticker and I can't wait till we get to go. The weather is nice today. I hope it is like today when we go. I have your flint lighter. I got my backpacker mag and it is pretty cool. Make sure you take good notes this Saturday so you can share it with me. It looks like they will be using part of the trail we have hiked or all of it plus more.

ReplyDeleteI also got my magazine. There is a lot of cool stuff in there. I really like "The Best Values Ever" article starting on page 29. I am looking at getting the hiking poles on page 30. The Pyrite 7075 are $36 and free shipping through Amazon. Some good reviews.
That Snow Peak Titanium Spork looks good too. $8, not bad.
The Keen shoes on page 32, Are those what you have? I might have to get something better than trailrunners.
My Pocket Rocket is in there. That's a good feeling. I made a good choice.
Did you see that the backpack on the cover (Gregory) weighs almost 6 pounds. That weighs more than my Kelty.
I'm working on a couple backpacking things. I hope to get them finished in the next couple weeks. I take some pictures and post them on here when I am done.
